The power supply determines the daily volume
The power supplies NG3, NG4 and NG5 differ in continuous output. With DEVRAN this means 60 kg (NG5), 90 kg (NG3) and 120 kg (NG4) per day — what matters for the choice is not the average but the busiest day of the week.
The power supply houses the system's power electronics: it converts the mains voltage of 230 V to 28 V at the handheld device. The servo system that keeps the speed constant under load is available in combination with the NG4 power supply — the Master version. This keeps the interface to the operator in the low-voltage range — and the handpiece light, because the electronics are not carried along.
A device that reaches its limit every Friday ages faster. Choosing the power supply is therefore an operational decision, not a data-sheet decision.
