The circular blade is a wearing part
It is the part that makes the cut — and wears out doing so. A blade change is therefore not a defect but intended operation: service life depends on daily volume and meat type.
The first signal comes from the cutting pattern: if it becomes uneven or the cut noticeably requires more guidance, the blade is blunt. Re-sharpenable versions can then be reconditioned with sharpening and grinding tools; at some point the change is due.
The change steps for each model are in the product documentation. What matters is the fit: diameter (Ø 80 mm with DEVRAN), mount and cutting shape belong together — always source replacements to match the device.

Change or re-sharpen?
- Re-sharpening
- The first choice with re-sharpenable versions — extends the service life of the blade.
- Changing
- When re-sharpening is exhausted or the geometry no longer suits the application.
- Stock
- A spare blade on site prevents service from depending on a wearing part.
Check at the same time
Coupling and gear ring transmit the power to the blade and wear out as well. The blade change is the natural moment to check their condition — both parts are individually replaceable and available directly from the manufacturer.
