Cut quality at the end of the shift
Anyone judging a Döner knife should not look at the first cut of the day but at the last. A device that is too heavy cuts worse as the hand tires — regardless of what the data sheet promises.
With DEVRAN the motor unit weighs around 1,000 g. This is made possible by a system decision: the power electronics sit in the power supply and are not carried in the hand. What remains is what is needed for the cut — motor, gearbox, blade, grip.
28 V are present at the handheld device. In a damp and greasy working environment, the interface to the operator therefore stays in the low-voltage range.
Simple operation is ergonomics
Simple operation has been part of the DEVRAN product philosophy since 2000: a device that can be guided without lengthy training and behaves predictably in daily use. The less a tool demands of its operator, the more constant the result across changes of staff and shift.
Weight is a system question
